Focus on: Aaron McElroy

A lot goes into the creation of a strong portfolio: its own nature requires both a limited but representative selection of pictures and a powerful style capable of shining through different projects. Aaron McElroy‘s work main concerns are perhaps well-trodden – the female body, still lifes, landscapes – yet the photographer manages to imbue them with his own fresh perspective thanks to a combination of hazy, subdued atmospheres and unique framing. The bodies do not belong to provocative and half naked women; they are metaphysical surprises, where the perturbing effect is granted by a restless eroticism. Aaron McElroy is based in Brooklyn, NY.
