Joanna McClure is a photographer who lives and works in New York. Her photographs are elegantly minimal and rigorous but simultaneously misleading in their ability of generate an aura of indefiniteness. McClure is comfortable in mixing abstract photography and portraiture where at times she grazes the editorial mode, nonetheless managing to obtain a result consistently charming and elusive, never descriptive. A production with a non-linear structure and therefore extremely contemporary.
